in a kind of blogging funk right now. i think it's the weather. seriously, i may be suffering from seasonal affective disorder. probably because we are going to be stuck in 3 feet of snow and negative temperatures forever in the dakotas. over it. where are you spring?? anyway, last month flew by. here are few of the highlights:
*went to utah for a week to see our new niece reagan. she is just lovely. like a tiny little doll.
*came back from utah with a sick baby. rotten. alex has a virus that has settled in his lungs and has to be on a nebulizer treatment until it clears up so it doesn't turn into pneumonia. he's been on it for a week and sounds a little better, but not tons. he's a trooper about it though, and either cries, sleeps, or smiles through his treatment. having a sick baby is the worst feeling in the world, so helpless.
*alex fell off the bed on valentines day and cried for about 20 seconds and was fine. i cried for 3 hours because i was the world's worst mom. needless to say, our lovey dovey valentine's dinner plans were out the window since i was too nervous to leave him. so instead we took my mom, the intended babysitter, along with us to a lovey dovey dinner. mike's dream come true. seriously.
*on a great streak with weight watcher's until utah trip. lost 19lbs and was working out 4 times a week. have completely flat lined since the trip and since alex has been sick and ready to start working out again.
also, in case you were wondering... this little boy LOVES him a tag. he will find a tag on whatever he is holding and fixate on it for a while. tags are even more fun than toys, who knew? here a few pictures to prove it.

Carter has had that same fetish since he was about the same age as Alex. He still will sometimes walk around with his hand down his shirt or pants holding his tag. He cracks us up. Alex is getting so big and cuter every time I see pics of him
What a CUTE baby boy. Not so baby anymore-he's big now! I absolutely love his concentrating face. The way he purses his little lips. Sooooo cute. I miss you guys all de time! And wish I was there with you. Utah is boring without y'all....
Alex looks ginormous next to your niece. Adorable.
I'm not a no tv mom. Psh. Come on. I think Dave just said I don't turn to the tv because I definitely limit it. I try to keep it less than 2 hours a day. That sounds like a lot, I think, but when I break it down like Sesame Street in the morning and Dumbo in the afternoon, it doesn't seem as bad. Miles doesn't take naps, so I sort of need him to watch tv so I can make dinner. Lately, he hasn't been watching any tv until I need to make dinner and then he usually would rather be on a stool right by me annoying the crap out of my while I try to cook.
Hey, do you watch Parks & Rec? If you do, did you get the "crap on a spatula?" I just thought of it when I typed "crap" before and it made me laugh.
Hey dude, can we hang on our way out to Oregon? For like a day? I don't even know if I have your right number. I have a number for you-- is it still the same? Mine is the same. We need to talk because I want to come visit you.
Auntie em is getting pretty impatient waiting for newer blog posts!!!!
